Soils Lab Report

Include in your report all of the data that you collected as well as the following information:

Soil Invertebrates

1. Discuss the importance of each of the soil invertebrates that you identified in your soil sample. Make sure to include as much as you can about the species' niche. Include trophic level and other details about this species' role in the soil. If you were not able to get a specific identification, do the best you can. Include your drawings with the report.

Chemical Analysis

2. Discuss your findings on the chemical analysis of your soil. What do these numbers (or values) mean in terms of soil fertility? Assuming that the land owner (you), want to garden organically (without commercial fertilizers and pesticides), what kinds of recommendations could you make?

Soil Texture

3. Discuss your findings on the soil texture. Is this soil good for gardening? Is there anything that you can do to improve the soil?
