Reading Assignment

Select a book from the school library or another source. If your book is not from the preapproved library selection, please bring me your selection for approval. I have some copies in the classroom that you can borrow, many of these books are also at the public library. If you choose to purchase a book, please consider donating it to the APES library for future students.

Selection must be approved by: Friday, December 20, 2010.

Keep a reading journal. Read and enjoy, stopping to reflect every chapter (this depends on the length of your chapters, feel free to combine a few chapters as needed). Your goal is to relate the book that you are reading to issues that we have covered in APES or that we will be covering in APES. This is easier than you think! THIS IS NOT A BOOK REPORT! You should have 3-4 reflections when you are done. Plan on about 1 page, double spaced, Times New Roman 12 font.

Write a one page review of the book. This is your opinion - did you enjoy it, would you recommend it to future students and why (or why not)?

Final report is due on Monday, January 9, 2012.
